Lowe’s Lead: Parliament Gets New Clerk

It’s a new high for Ms. Lowe. Attorney Colleen Lowe has been elevated to Clerk to the Houses of Parliament, effective today. Her appointment follows the retirement of Valerie Curtis on Saturday.

The new House Clerk studied law at Hertfordshire University and the BPP Law School in the United Kingdom. Additionally, she holds a Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School. She also has a Master’s degree from the University of Suffolk and is a certified mediator in both the UK and Jamaica. Lowe is a Glenmuir alumna.

She worked at the National Land Agency for almost 6 years, first as a paralegal and then as a legal officer. She then served at the Electoral Office of Jamaica. Lowe was appointed Deputy Clerk back in 2022.
