The plea and case management hearing for murder accused Noel Maitland has been delayed until June 12. Maitland appeared before the home circuit court Thursday morning in relation to the missing Social Media Influencer Donna Lee Donaldson.
The plea case hearing for Constable Noel Maitland was delayed in the supreme court Thursday due to outstanding documents that the court had ordered on October 13 last year.
The delay according to one of Maitland’s Attorneys Chadwick Berry is due to outstanding statements and material from the communication forensic and cybercrime division.
He also requested a renewed bail application for his client on the next court date due to concerns expressed by Maitland. This request was also approved by the judge.
Justice Vinette Graham-Allen then ordered that all outstanding material is to be disclosed on or before May 6.
Maitland a police officer is accused of killing his girlfriend, 24-year-old Donna-Lee Donaldson. Donaldson was last seen with Maitland on July 11, 2022 and was reported missing on July 13, the police believe she was killed on July 12.
Maitland was taken into custody on July 27.
