Major management and supervisory changes following St Elizabeth prison break on Monday, June 19. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Coleridge Minto, has been appointed as the Commanding Officer for the Division with immediate effect. Concurrently, Superintendent Kenneth Chin will be reassigned to the Area 5 Headquarters to assume new responsibilities.
To ensure an unhindered and comprehensive investigation into the events surrounding the inmates’ escape, significant changes have been implemented in various supervisory roles at the station level. The Administration Officer, Operations Officer, and other positions have been affected by these changes. These adjustments aim to facilitate a thorough inquiry as the investigation progresses.
Furthermore, two members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, JCF, have been interdicted pending further inquiries. This measure has been taken to maintain the integrity of the investigation and to ensure a fair and unbiased process.
