Major Munition Find in St James

Several rounds of ammunition were discovered by the police in Lilliput, St James on Wednesday evening. The operation follows the fatal shooting of a man identified as Andre Young on the Rose Hall main road in the parish.

. Reports are that Young was killed at approximately 2:30 Wednesday afternoon while traveling in his motorcar. The officer says news that the perpetrators were connected to the Lilliput community led to a search of the premises in the area. Three men reportedly fled the premises as the police carried out the raid. Several illegal ammunition were seized at the premises.

Superintendent Carlos Russell, Commanding Officer for the St James Police Division says a targeted operation was carried out at Bobman Hill, St James. The police have since listed some men as persons of interest for Young’s murder as well as the seizure.
