‘Crime fighting efforts in Jamaica are bearing fruits as stakeholders modernize their efforts,’ according to the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF). They say major dents are being made in the operations of criminals and their illegal activities. In their quarterly press briefing, Commissioner of Police Major General Antony Anderson says 94 persons have already been arrested and charged for breaches of the Dangerous Drug Act for cocaine and marijuana seizures, totaling 1,563 kilograms and 4,204 kilograms respectively.
He says, there have also been two major gun seizures at the ports and adds the government has also invested in training experts to dismantle gangs and gang-related crimes on the island. Watch the report for more details:
