At approximately 12 noon on Thursday in New Kingston, a taximan sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, during a confrontation with the police. The Jamaica Constabulary Force says it is awaiting INDECOM’s official statement regarding the incident. Meanwhile, human rights group, Jamaicans for Justice, JFJ, is criticizing the Force for its delayed response.
