The Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigations Branch (CTOC) has arrested the man said to be behind the importation of twenty-one guns, in March. Police say he has been on their radar for some time.
Godfrey Martin otherwise called Rev, is said to be the mastermind behind the illegal importation of 21 guns in march this year. He was arrested in Ocho Rios, St Ann, on Sunday.
Reports are that martin was arrested by personnel from CTOC at a party in the parish. Detectives say martin was on their radar for some time, and was subsequently arrested after months of investigations that featured several lines of inquiry. Deputy Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey, says this arrest is considered a significant one. Eighteen handguns, three rifles and a large cache of ammunition were seized by the police at a warehouse in Kingston, on March 4. Watch the report below:
