While the State Minister addressed members of the Police Civilian Oversight Authority, and the constabulary in Manchester Friday, his colleagues in the Senate fought viciously with no luck to win at least one Opposition vote to extend the States of Public Emergency.
Zayvia Mayne was echoing the message of his party, its unwavering commitment to stamping out crime. Mayne says policing is about protecting citizens and meeting their needs all while respecting their individual rights.
The State Minister reiterated that even amid the States of Public Emergency, law-abiding citizens should not fear. The ongoing States of Public Emergency comes to an end early next week. More details here:
