Councillor wages were one of the topics discussed at the weekly Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation Meeting. The Mayor of Kingston Delroy Williams sought to address the ongoing issue and concerns that have been presented to the municipality.
He says the amount allocated to councillors is a flat rate, noting there is no preferential rate given. The Mayor further adds the perception of councillors having other jobs is redundant, He says the tasks at hand for councillors are a lot. Watch the report:
