Returning to normality is what Kingston Mayor Delroy Williams aims to do with the help of his Council Members. The aim is to increase vaccination uptake in the Kingston and St Andrew area, and he is calling on Councillors to step up community vaccination efforts and be involved in the education process. Mayor of Kingston, Delroy Williams made the call at the monthly Kingston & St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) Council Meeting on Wednesday, September 22.

The Mayor says councillors should try to provide information and clarity to residents who express reservations. If there are residents who wish to get vaccinated, councillors must also aid in providing convenient access to vaccines.  Mayor Williams reiterates the more people vaccinated will see the city of Kingston being revived economically. “We understand the hardship being faced by many persons and we believe that the faster we open the city’s economy, it will be in the interest of the city and the residents of the city,” says the Mayor. He is encouraging councillors to participate in the effort.
