Local Government Minister Desmond Mckenzie has fired back at the Opposition and critics of the Andrew Holness-led administration following a wave of criticisms in recent days. Among the issues refuted was the matter of indigent housing and claims of ignoring the plight of the poor. The Minister cried shame on the Opposition who he insists has done little expect to keep poor people poor.
The Minister contends whenever the country is facing a crisis the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) is the government depended on to rescue the people. He went further crying shame on the critics and the Opposition People’s National Party (PNP). Minister Mckenzie was speaking at a northwest St. Ann Constituency Conference held at the Browns Town Community College, Saturday evening.
