In his Sectoral Debate the Minister of Local Government made several announcements including those of the upgrade of the fire brigade and also the National Solid Waste Management Authority, NSWMA.
Among these announcements were that the country’s waste backlog has been drastically reduced and workers have been made permanent citing they will now be reaping benefits such as pension. Watch the report:
