Residents of Michigan Close in Meadowbrook are appealing to the National Water Commission, (NWC) to refrain from using their community as a plumbing zone station. This as they say the company’s work has yielded many medical conditions and sleepless nights for years.
The Meadowbrook residents say as early as 3 am the trucks are in full operation, causing many who live in and around the area to suffer from hypertension, insomnia, and chronic sinusitis.
One of the residents says since the dirt operation started some 8 years now she has been diagnosed with sinusitis. Some of the women complain that the dust has not only prevented them from pinning their clothes outside to dry for an extended period, but it has resulted in female medical problems.
A staff of the NWC barred the media from entering the property for questioning and stated they are not interested in speaking about the issue. Minutes after the encounter, an NWC truck began watering the roadway, an act that further enraged residents.
