Midwives across the nation on Tuesday prolong their sick out for a second consecutive day, effectively impacting essential healthcare services. Fueling their frustration is the perceived lack of responsiveness from the government regarding their concerns stemming from the recent compensation overhaul.
As custodians of life, they lament the disregard they endure, seemingly as if their invaluable service fails to contribute significantly to the bedrock of national progress. President of the Midwives Association, Sharon Banbury-Edwards adds, four letters have already been sent to the Finance Ministry.
