Minister Mckenzie Reiterates the Importance of Taking the Jab

The Local Government Minister Desmond A. McKenzie reiterates the importance and the responsibility of citizens to get vaccinated. This as he explains that while everyone has free will, Jamaica cannot afford to suffer because of the un-vaccinated.

Members of the church community and stakeholders in the Ministry of Local Government were in attendance on Sunday at the national church service. Minister of local government and Rural Development Desmond Mckenzie, sought to reiterate the responsibility of public servants.

Minister Mckenzie says while the pandemic has brought many challenges across all sectors of society, citizens must also take responsibility. He also stressed the importance of vaccination.

The Minister alluded to the restrictions recently imposed in Austria due to the high vaccine hesitancy. He notes while extreme measures to date have not been taken in Jamaica, persons who are vaccinated should not face the consequences of the un-vaccinated.
