On Thursday, January 28, the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that sealed a partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade in regards to the economic diplomacy programme.
Jampro President Diane Edwards explains the economic diplomacy programme is a promotion type of investment that requires efficiency and compelling international stake holders not only to invest in tourism, but other growing industries.
Edwards highlights that due to COVID-19, several webinars have been held to keep overseas diplomats abreast of all activities.
She adds that the pandemic has allowed greater communication digitally, which has been impact-full.
