13-year-old Winshae Barrett who disappeared from home in Bath, St Thomas on Saturday has been found alive on October 18. Winshae was reported missing hours after 9-year-old Phylisa Prussia was found. For almost two days Winshae vanished without a trace, but with the determination and efforts of community members joined by the security forces and other agencies, the search high and low, during the days and into the nights yielded success.
She was found in bushes just outside the community of Spring Bank in the parish. A resident who detailed how Winshae was found, says it was evident that she was traumatized as she was crying. Her disappearance on Saturday, came mere hours after 9-year-old Phylisa Prussia was found following her abduction from her home in the same community on Thursday.
Claims have been made that Phylisa’s suspected abductor, Davian Bryan was responsible for Winshae’s disappearance, however police say there is the possibility of Bryan being a person of interest and is still on the run.
