It was a sorrowful day for the family and friends of Chieftin Campbell, who came to pay their final respects on Saturday.

Campbell was a member of the Victoria Town Primary and Infant School Board and served for many years. Representatives of the school and family members remember him fondly. In early May, Mr. Campbell was attacked by a mob in the town of Mandeville a week before he was slated to get married. He later died at hospital following blunt force trauma.
