Prime Minister Andrew Holness and the Minister of Education (MOE) Fayval Williams recently announced the expansion of the National Coding in Schools’ Programme.
The initiative will benefit 400-thousand students from grades one to 13. A move expected to reform the education system and the future of Jamaica’s children, the ministry of education and the amber innovation group announced the expansion of the National Coding in Schools’ Programme on Friday. The pilot program was launched in may among 2000 students in grades 4 and 9 in twenty schools.
Minister of Education Fayval Williams says after discussions and observation between shareholders of the pilot program’s success, the program will now be expanded in more schools across the island.
