In a bid to limit the learning losses as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pathways program is set to give secondary school students an opportunity to capitalize on their education as they matriculate to 6th form.
Education Minister, Fayval Williams says the 6th form Pathways program was implemented in a bid to close the gap for students left behind during the pandemic. She says it will seek to equip students for better certification.
The Minister also outlines the benefits to students upon completion. Students can also get a diploma or a certificate within an occupation discipline.
Additionally, students can also acquire an associate degree administered by the Council of Community Colleges of Jamaica. Minister Williams says this program will be operating in all schools across Jamaica.
