Outraged residents of Morgan’s Lane, off Old Harbour Road, St. Catherine are appealing for justice after the police conducted an operation in the area on Thursday. One resident who spoke off-camera alleges that the security forces mistreated her and other residents during an operation where a wanted man was captured and ammunition seized.
Meanwhile, Head of the St. Catherine North Police Division, Senior Superintendent of Police, Howard Chambers is refuting the claims.
He explained the purpose of the operation, stating that ‘Clansey’ the wanted man, was reportedly captured and a firearm was also seized.
SSP Chambers is also urging residents to cooperate with the security forces whenever operations are being carried out.
He also says similar operations will be carried out in other surrounding communities overtime.
