The Beach Road community in Bull Bay is mourning the death of 36-year-old Nathaniel Forbes otherwise called Beenieman is one of four people killed in less than a week. Police say the motive for the killings is still unknown, but residents have their story.
Girlfriend of the deceased said the youngest of his sons witnessed the death of his father and is not coping well.
She says Nathaniel was a consistent provider for his family and children and was the peacemaker of the community.
The bridge between top and bottom Beach Road is the only means by which both communities are connected, and residents say the unity is wide apart.
One elder within the community says the once lively area is now a ghost town as people are on the lookout for possible reprisals.
There was little if any significant difference in views expressed about Beenieman, but there was general consensus, he was not a killer and therefore did not deserve the fate that met him Tuesday afternoon.
Sources say the deceased mother was robbed and beaten a week before he was killed and it is speculated to have been a warning for his death.
