The incident unfolded on Tuesday, December 26, casting a dark shadow over the close-knit neighborhood. According to reports from the Montego Bay Police, the tragedy occurred around 2:00 a.m. when Rhomes became embroiled in an altercation with a woman. The situation took a grim turn when Vaughns, seeking to intervene, found himself in a dispute with his nephew. In a shocking escalation, Rhomes brandished a knife and stabbed Vaughns in his hand.

The entire community is mourning the loss of Bently Vaughns, a well-regarded mason whose life was tragically cut short.
