Gender Minister Olivia Grange on Tuesday sought to table the amendments to the Domestic Violence Act in the Lower House Tuesday afternoon. She was speaking during her sectoral budget presentation.
A new amendment was added to the Domestic Violence Act in the house of representatives on Tuesday. Minister of Gender Olivia Babsy Grange highlights the adjustment.
Minister Grange also notes penalties will be increased as it relates to breaches of protection orders.
In the meantime, she says the full amendments of the Domestic Violence Act are to be tabled in the house before the end of this month. The Minister also sought to update the house regarding the anti-sexual harassment legislation.
