The StAnn Municipal Corporation and the Police partnered to improve the life of one senior citizen in the parish. The elderly woman was living in deplorable conditions for several years.

70-year-old Veronica Anderson of the New Hope Community in St. Ann received the keys to her new home, courtesy of the poor relief department and the parish’s municipality.

Speaking at the Handover Ceremony, Corporal Howard Francis of the St. Ann police says the community first came on the radar due to criminal activities. He notes after having meetings with residents the community has been peaceful. Corporal Francis highlights the work the police have done in the area. The Municipality was made aware of Ms. Anderson’s living conditions and donations were made to construct her new home, today she is overwhelmed with joy.
