New Male Ward Opens at Portland Infirmary

Minister of Local Government Desmond McKenzie has officially opened the new Male Ward at the Portland Infirmary, Port Antonio. Stakeholders are describing the facility as state-of-the-art with modern beds for maximum resident comfort. 

The Portland Infirmary has been retrofitted with a $45 million-dollar male dormitory. The ward, which has the capacity to house 40 residents was officially opened recently by the Minister of Local Government. McKenzie says the project was completed within the established budget and has everything needed for the residents’ comfort. Watch the report:
