New Promotion Policy Expected To Reduce Nepotism At D.C.S

The Jamaica Federation of Corrections (JAFEDCO) is hoping that a new promotion policy to take effect in January at the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) will significantly reduce the level of alleged corruption, nepotism and cronyism within the DCS.

The Correctional Officers have reported that warders are being promoted without merits but through friendship and family relations. Jamaila  Maitland continues this CVM Live exclusive report on what goes on behind prison walls.
