New Year’s Day Bundles of Joy- Babies and New Beginnings

As expected the New Year comes with babies and new beginnings. Four mothers are among those enjoying a blissful 2022.

New Year’s Day commenced with pure happiness for Celena Cunningham, Amoy Brown and Janise May, whose babies were the first in 2022 for the Victoria Jubilee Hospital, Kingston.  Ariana Gordon, Ajaunie Bennett and Timar Fray in that order, were all born in the wee hours of the morning.  State Minister in the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Juliet Cuthbert-Flynn was among those celebrating the mothers’ joy.

Meanwhile, Kemar Lee Gordon is Cornwall Regional Hospital’s first baby for 2022; born around 4:30 am on Saturday. His mother, Debbie-Ann Barnett, says she had no difficulty delivering her fourth child who weighs 6 pounds.

Nurse Manager Debbie East Branford says, currently, there are roughly 27 babies on the obstetric ward and 9 on the delivery suite.
