While many persons anxiously awaited the gift of a new year, a 24-year-old woman, identified as Shantel Whyte of Grey Ground, east of Mandeville met her demise allegedly at the hands of her married lover.
The incident took place on New Year’s Eve at around 6 pm at a popular wholesale complex in Mandeville where the deceased was a cashier and the suspect a supervisor.
