One public transport operator group is of the belief that should the Prime Minister remove Robert Montague from the Transport Ministry, he would be making a grave mistake. This group believes Montague has attained a high-level success despite recent public backlash.
After suggestions were raised for a cabinet reshuffle, Transport Operator Development Sustainable Services (TODSS) President Egeton Newman echoed sentiments that Transport Minister Robert Montague should remain in his current role. Newman lauded the Minister for what he considers a valiant effort in helping to develop the transport sector.
Newman was speaking at a General Meeting on Saturday. He says one of Minister Montague’s latest achievements was to open routes across Jamaica giving persons the opportunity to join the transport sector. Meanwhile, he says despite some public opinion that the minister should be reshuffled out of his role, he believes the minister plays a pivotal role in the sector’s growth.
