Nikita Noel’s Mother Urges Gov’t to Revisit Death Penalty

Nordia Edwards, the mother of 9-year-old Nikita Noel, who tragically suffered from a rape and murder in February at the hands of her mother’s lover, is calling for a reexamination of the laws governing the imposition of the death penalty. Despite finding some relief in her former partner receiving two life sentences for the heinous crime, Edwards believes it is only just and fair that even those who plead guilty should face the possibility of capital punishment.
