Nine Miles family displaced following horrific flooding experience – A family in Nine Miles Bull Bay is trying to pick up the pieces, after living through a harrowing experience recently, with their home completely flooded on the weekend during the torrential downpour. They have had to relocate following the nightmarish ordeal.
CVM Live traversed through the rubble of Nine Miles, where she visited with the Whytes family. The Whytes residence was alarmed at the magnitude of water rushing into their front yard when son Daniel Whyte started recording the phenomenon.
However, while recording, the unexpected happened, the water came straight into their home.
While the Whytes hurriedly saved what little they could, 10 year old Julian’s life flashed before her eyes, as she realised her decision to go outside to escape her flooded home could result in her death.
Weise Road residents were also irate at the recent comment they claimed to have heard over the radio, claiming people in the district were squatters and residents were stealing stones from the rivers bank.
