No Case of Monkeypox in Jamaica

With mounting fears of monkeypox reaching Jamaica, the Health Ministry is assuring citizens that there are currently no reported cases of the virus here. However, the chief medical officer is urging citizens and health care workers to be on the lookout for symptoms such as a fever and rash. The Health Ministry is also ramping up surveillance at the country’s ports.

In the meantime, citizens are being warned that the Covid-19 measures are a good defence against the monkeypox. Watch the report here:
