No hiding place for motorists after January 31, 2023 that is the word coming from Minister of National Security Dr. Horace Chang. During the House of Representatives meeting held on Tuesday, he renewed calls for motorists to pay outstanding traffic tickets.
He reiterates if one fails to pay, they will be held accountable. While urging motorists to take charge of the window of opportunity he reminded how they can make payments. Meanwhile, Dr. Chang notes come February 1 the digitized ticket system will be rolled out to restore public order on our roadways.
He says this comes as motorists are faced with several challenges with the current ticketing system. Dr. Chang says the police are now lauding the efforts to roll out the new electronic ticketing system. In 2022, the police issued 720,000 tickets.
