National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) officials took to the streets of Linstead, St Catherine Wednesday encouraging business operators to practice proper solid waste management. The education blitz allowed business owners to register with the authority for proper garbage disposal.
With the help of the authority’s commercial services, locals were sensitized on solid waste management methods to avoid potential infractions. Gordon highlighted the importance of building relationships to see long term change.
On the scene was the councillor for the Linstead Division, Herbert Garriques, in full support of the intervention which he says will help drive his vision for the area forward.
Other public education walks- throughs have been planned across the country.
