Employees of the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA), staged a protest early Saturday morning over salaries due, that should have been disbursed into their accounts.
CVM Live understands that payments are made to the employees on a fortnightly basis. Speaking with our news team NSWMA Chairman Dennis Chung explains that the funds were disbursed to their accounts, however, there was a delay with the banking system.
Executive Director Audley Gordon also pointed out the administration is at fault and empathizes with the workers. He notes payments were scheduled to be disbursed on Friday. The Executive Director adds that things have been smoothed out between the employees and management.
