One Commentator Says Tufton Must Resign

One political commentator is echoing similar calls to that of the People’s National Party (PNP) for Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton to resign; after the death of twelve infants at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in the summer surfaced. He notes Dr. Tufton has a pattern of doing last-minute damage control.

Political commentator Dr. Canute Thompson says he too agrees that Dr. Christopher Tufton should go. Thompson says while ministers must not be called upon to resign for minor mishaps, the incident at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital warrants Dr. Tufton’s resignation. He explains that the Minister was cognizant of the bacterial outbreak adding the matter was mishandled. Dr. Thompson also alluded to an outbreak at the Cornwall Regional Hospital noting that the minister was similarly silent on that matter too.
