ONE MAN SHOT AND ANOTHER KILLED IN WESTMORELAND

December 08, 2023- Twenty-five-year-old Ricko Torrington, a bike taxi operator of Shrewsberry
in Petersfield, Westmoreland was shot and killed whilst another man was shot and injured on
Pullet Lane in the parish on Thursday, December 07.
Reports are that about 9:00 p.m., Torrington and the other man were travelling on a motorcycle,
when upon reaching a section of the roadway, unknown assailants opened gunfire at them;
Torrington sustained gunshot wounds to the upper body and the other man was shot in the
shoulder. Both men were taken to the hospital where Torrington was pronounced dead and the
other man was admitted in stable condition.
Investigations continue.
