After the shocking and gruesome killing of a nine year old non-verbal autistic boy, the police are still left trying to connect the pieces.
Much to their surprise, they’ve been met with some resistance. Nevertheless, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Fitz Bailey is reassuring the public that the police will continue investigating the matter. The parish and the western region have seen several other gruesome crimes since the beginning of the year.
However, Bailey says crime is escalating across the island. He says the rates being recorded are not normal. Bailey says he suspects some of the crimes recorded are being committed by those who were arrested and have been released on bail.
He says revising this part of the law may help in mitigating crime.
