One community in St. Elizabeth is urgently appealing to the authorities to address their water issues.

Reports are that the residents of Phase 2 in the Bellevue Housing Scheme have not received a consistent water supply since the September 3 election period and it has become costly procuring water by other means.

One resident says, ” I’m wondering why we paying bill every month, no water. Sometimes they send the trunk, if your name [is not] on the list the truck guys is not gonna give you any water. So most of the times you have to buy it. That is very bad.”

The Residents say when they alerted the authorities about the issue no clear explanation was given.

“Sometimes they say the pump burn up, sometimes they say the people in the hill stealing the water. I don’t know if it is true,” the resident continued.

The residents say they are appealing to the government to resolve the issue.
