Chairman of the People’s National Party (PNP) Dr. Angela Brown-Burke is resolute on the views expressed by the Opposition regarding the Government’s approach to the use of States of Public Emergency (SOPE). She argues the SOPEs must not be used as a political football and that a more comprehensive approach to crime fighting should be brought to the table.
Dr. Brown-Burke also alluded to the suggestions that were made by Opposition Leader, Mark Golding regarding a crime plan. She was speaking with CVM Live shortly after the Prime Minister declared new States of Emergency across several parishes. Watch here to see what she had to say:
