Opposition Criticizes Government’s Approach to Country’s Health

The Opposition is this evening blasting the government for what it terms, their inefficient and irresponsible approach to dealing with the nation’s health care. The Opposition, says the problem at the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) in particular, is a long-standing one, which could have been remedied some time ago.

Describing the government as very stubborn, Junior Opposition Spokesperson on Health, Jesse James Clarke says the People’s National Party, PNP, has appealed on numerous occasions for the improvement of challenges at the Kingston Public Hospital. He says patients, despite their varying illnesses, are being forced to leave the hospital for these critical tests at private facilities. He describes this practice as dangerous and a human rights violation. Watch the report:
