The Shadow Minister on Health is again expressing concern that amid the rising monkeypox cases, the health sector appears ill-prepared and understaffed. Currently, the Health Ministry is investigating the death of a person who had contracted the virus. Junior Shadow Minister for Health, Jesse James-Clarke fears despite the likelihood of an increase in monkeypox cases that the health sector is unprepared. He says the government should look to tertiary students to fill the gap created by worker shortage and improve health care delivery. The opposition member warns that Jamaicans should be very cautious of the monkeypox disease. When asked about the fears of monkeypox compared to the COVID-19 virus he says persons are more fearful of monkeypox. Watch the full report:
