Opposition Leader Backs Bunting Amid Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA) Scandal – Despite the calls for former Security Minister and opposition Senator Peter Bunting to resign, following a report from the Integrity Commission, the leader of opposition Mark Golding has expressed confidence in him, saying there has been no sign of misconduct on his part.
Opposition Leader Mark Golding insists Senator Bunting acted within the regulations and has publicly pledged support for PNP Senator amid findings from the report, alleging Bunting granted gun licenses to persons with questionable backgrounds. The report has sparked national attention and has even resulted in a protest outside the PNP’s office with comrades demanding Bunting’s resignation. However, on Wednesday Golding said there was no misconduct.
