Opposition Leader Visits Clarendon Following Tragedy

Support and comfort continues to flow for the family of the slain mother and her four children in Coco Piece, Clarendon. Opposition Leader Mark Golding and his team visited the Coco Piece community in Clarendon following Tuesday’s gruesome quintuple murder of a mother and her four children.

The murders have sent shock waves across the island and a community in a state of unending grief. Golding says the team has been showing support to the family. He notes the callous and reckless criminal acts have become more prevalent. Golding adds there needs to be reform regarding the justice system. He says the government’s approach to solving crime is ineffective, with no long term resolution. Opposition Senator Peter bunting says a more holistic approach is needed towards improving communities.
