There was another shooting incident in Manchester. A man was shot and injured on Bethel Street in Greenvale as he exited his motor vehicle to enter a shop. Reports are that he was confronted by another man who opened fire.
The injured man, whose identity has not been released, was taken to the hospital where he is receiving treatment.
Thursday’s incident further heightens concerns over the escalating violence in Manchester, where five people have been murdered and five others injured in gun attacks in recent days.
Meanwhile, Opposition Spokesperson on Security Calls for Peace in Manchester
The reports of multiple murders have left residents concerned about the current level of safety in the parish. Opposition Spokesman on National Security, Senator Peter Bunting, is calling for the matter to be addressed immediately.
He met with stakeholders on Thursday at the Christiana Moravian Primary and Infant School.
