The Senate on Friday voted to amend the Protected Disclosures Act commonly called the Whistle Blower Act.
Despite reservations about the usefulness of the legislation in safeguarding employees who speak out against corruption, the opposition agreed to the amendments. Trade Unionist and Opposition Senator Lambert Brown however implored his colleagues on the governing side to do more to protect those who seek refuge under the Act.
