However, Byles noted that certain merchants have encountered delays in adopting the digital wallet due to technical and financial limitations. Byles described this issue as an unforeseen challenge that emerged as the Central Bank embarked on the introduction of its inaugural digital currency. Despite the promising response from a significant number of merchants, these unexpected hurdles have underscored the complexity and intricacies associated with transitioning to a digital ecosystem.
While the process has encountered obstacles, Byles reiterated the Central Bank’s commitment to working through these challenges to ensure the seamless integration of the digital wallet.
