Over 4000 persons have registered for vaccination on the Ministry of Health’s online scheduling portal for receiving the vaccine. The portal was set in motion on Monday, March 22. With many more expected to sign on, the Permanent Secretary in the Health Ministry is advising against persons outside of the priority groups attempting to register.
Additionally, approximately 31, 000 appointment slots are available on the Health Ministry’s online registration portal for COVID-19 vaccination.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Dunstan Bryan says as at 5 am, Tuesday, March, 23, 4,108 persons had already booked appointments- the majority being senior citizens 75 years and older.
Some residual health care workers who weren’t vaccinated last week nor the week prior, Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) and Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) members have also made appointments.
