Jamaica should be seeing more charging stations for electric vehicles in 2022. Speaking at a recent Energy and Mobility Competition for secondary schools, Minister of Science and Energy Daryl Vaz sought to highlight the need and the importance of renewable energy as part of the transportation matrix.
According to Minister Vaz this year, will see acceleration in the access to electric mobility. The minister notes a revision has been done of the framework and is to be submitted to the cabinet. In the meantime, CEO of Jamaica Energy Partners Group says Evergo will be expanding in a bid to increase the access to the rapidly growing market.
